Phil Grippi

I’ve always considered myself a lover of stories. There’s always a story to tell, in everyone and everything. As such, I’ve devoted my professional and academic careers towards cultivating a skill set for rhetoric and storytelling.

For 8 years, I’ve worked in accounts management for the IRS, where I drafted and implemented outgoing correspondence to taxpayers (in written form or on the phone), trained new hires and performed supervisory duties on an as-needed basis.  I also worked two years as a quality assurance analyst for BPA Quality, where I monitored and evaluated call center correspondence and provided notation and feedback for on the job coaching in the form of complex data entry educational material for regulatory practices.

I perfected my skills in advance rhetoric with the Master’s Degree in Professional Writing program at NYU. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Cinema & Cultural Studies from Stony Brook University, where I developed keen analytical skills and an advanced sense of media literacy. In my personal time, I write works of fiction as well as movie reviews and opinion pieces for my personal blog site:

My website will also act as the medium through which I showcase my portfolio.
